AGRIBEX 2025: Edition 73 Inspires, Connects, and Strengthens the Agricultural Sector
The agricultural sector is preparing for a new highlight: AGRIBEX 2025, the 73rd edition of Belgium's largest trade fair for agriculture, livestock farming, horticulture, and green spaces. From December 3 to 7, Brussels Expo will once again transform into the meeting place for professionals, policymakers, and innovators. Under the central theme "Inspire & Connect," organizer Fedagrim continues to build on a trade fair concept that informs, connects, and strengthens.
A trade fair with strong roots and fresh ideas
AGRIBEX remains true to its core values: a pure trade fair where knowledge sharing, innovation, and meeting people are central. The fair offers a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and doing business, and actively responds to the needs of a sector in full transition.
"Our sector is under pressure, but at the same time there is enormous dynamism," says Alain Vander cruys, spokesperson for Agribex. "With AGRIBEX, we want to create an environment where professionals can not only discover the latest technologies, but also meet the right people to shape the future together."
Hospitality Day: a warm welcome for professionals
The fair opens on December 3 with Hospitality Day, an exclusive day for contractors and dealers. This day is all about hospitality and efficiency: from reception to catering and parking, everything is geared towards allowing visitors to network and exchange information in peace and quiet.
The official opening will be performed by Prime Minister Bart De Wever, in the presence of numerous federal and regional policy makers, including Peter De Roover, President of the Federal Parliament.
Theme islands: clarity in a complex world
At a time when information is abundant but often fragmented, the AGRIBEX theme islands offer clarity and depth. Visitors can go there for direct discussions, demonstrations, and advice on current topics such as:
- Data transmission and smart technology: how can you get the most out of modern agricultural machinery and all the available data? What are you missing out on if you don't use this technology?
- Emission-reducing techniques: clarity about regulations, available techniques, and projects in the pipeline.
- Workshop Live: a classic for several editions now – promoting the appeal of the agricultural mechanic profession
- New Energies: from cost item to source of income – energy as a strategic theme at various exhibition stands.
"Farmers are facing difficult and uncertain times," says Vander Cruys. "When you invest, you want to be sure of your return. AGRIBEX helps with this by providing accurate and comprehensive information."
Future Award: Agro Lady of the Year
On December 4, Ladies' Day will take place again, this time as the starting signal for a broader campaign: the Future Award – Agro Lady of the Year. "Today, women run one in three farms in Europe," says Isabelle Huyghe, CEO of Fedagrim. "With this award, we want to give strong female voices in the sector a platform." During AGRIBEX, the first roundtable discussions will be organized with policymakers to highlight the challenges and opportunities for women in the agricultural sector. Of course, Ladies' Day also remains a festive occasion to celebrate female entrepreneurs.
Brussels Livestock Show: a loss, but not a defeat
One fixture that is sadly missing this year is the Brussels Livestock Show. Due to new legislation on the one hand and the absence of a Brussels government on the other, livestock competitions cannot be organized. Nevertheless, AGRIBEX remains a meeting place for the livestock sector this year, with numerous exhibitors and thematic zones that respond to the needs of this important pillar of agriculture.
"The cancellation of the Livestock Show is unfortunate, but despite this, the supply chain will once again be present at AGRIBEX. This shows that these exhibitors also recognize the importance of the fair," says Vander Cruys.
Inspire & Connect: building the future of agriculture together
With Inspire & Connect as its guiding principle, AGRIBEX aims to be more than just a trade fair: it is a catalyst for progress. By bringing people together, letting ideas flow and sharing knowledge, AGRIBEX creates an environment in which innovation grows and collaboration flourishes. Whether you come to learn, meet or invest, AGRIBEX 2025 is the place where the agricultural sector shapes its future.
AGRIBEX 2025 promises to be a vibrant edition, where tradition and the future meet. Professionals from all corners of the agricultural sector are welcome to come and discover, connect, and grow.
