A major challenge when distributing fertiliser is spreading in corners and bends. The typical trapezoidal spreading pattern of centrifugal spreaders ensures uniform spreading when there is good overlap between adjacent passes. As the fertiliser granules are thrown far back and sideways, overdosing will occur on the inside of the curve and underdosing on the outside, resulting in yield differences. Fertiliser can also be sprayed outside field boundaries. To solve this problem, Amazone has developed CurveControl software. The CurveControl function on the ZA-TS and ZG-TS fertiliser spreaders can be activated at the touch of a button. This control algorithm ensures even distribution of fertiliser around bends and corners in the field by adjusting the lateral distribution and thus correcting the spreading pattern.
